Greylands School of English, situated in the university city of Southampton (population 280,000), has been welcoming students from all over the world since 1976.
Greylands
is a small, friendly school. Our small classes (maximum 12 students)
enable our teachers to give students personal attention
and the individual help they need to progress quickly and
with confidence.
We offer a wide range of English language courses for students who wish to learn English in Britain. Choose General English courses, Business English or study for exams like Cambridge First Certificate, IELTS, TOEFL and TOEIC.
The school is open all year and you may start your course any Monday.
School facilities include:
- a computer room with free e-mail / Internet access
- student common room
- small library
- a table tennis room.
We would also be delighted to arrange host family accommodation for you during your course at Greylands. Our administration staff will be happy to assist you with any special requests regarding accommodation, for example dietary needs. All our home stay accommodation is regularly inspected by the School Accommodation Officer and is within walking distance of Greylands, or a short bus ride away.
The school organizes a social programme of one-day excursions to places of
interest on demand. There are also weekly teacher led activities such as theatre,
cinema, pub, and restaurant visits, parties and barbecues.
Southampton is on the South Coast of England, within easy reach of the major
airports and many major cities and places of interest:
- London (only 75 minutes by train)
- Brighton
- Oxford
- Bath
- The New Forest
- Isle of Wight.
