Vacational Studies 4-week residential English Language Courses for young people aged 11-17 have been running for 32 years. We are 'Accredited by the British Council' and were last inspected in 2003.
Our Courses are totally international. We take only small numbers from each country to en-sure that everyone uses English.

THE STUDENTS
We accept boys and girls - near-beginners, intermediate and more advanced students.

THE SCHOOLS
We have two Schools, both near Newbury in Berkshire. Newbury is 45 minutes west of Heathrow and 30 minutes south of Oxford.

THE TEACHING
A staff of qualified, professional teachers, experienced in the teaching of English as a Foreign Language give 4 classes, each of 45 minutes, totalling 15 hours a week.

ACCOMMODATION
The Course is fully residential.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
There are plenty of sports and social activities - every day - with three excursions, including London. Optionally available are theatre visits, tennis coaching and an Institute of Linguists examination in Spoken/Written English.

Our staff:student ratio of about 1:7 ensures that students are well looked-after. We combine the learning of good written and spoken English with an unforgettable and enjoy-able holiday.
