When you study with us at AES we offer you the chance to learn not only the English language, but also English culture, and being placed in an international classroom, you will also learn about many other cultures.
We are a small, family-run business, accredited by the British Council. We pride ourselves on the excellent standard of education we can offer our students and our flexibility in meeting the individual requirements of all students who enter our classrooms. We offer more than 20 different types of courses in English. These courses range from General English/Business courses, Examination courses to specialist courses, such as, English for Lawyers, English for the Medical Profession and English for Business. |

The Academy of English Studies is situated in the town centre of Folkestone with easy access to all amenities. The beautiful promenade, The Leas, is only a minute's walk away. Here you have wonderful views of the English Channel, and, fine weather permitting, you may be able to see the shores of France just across the Channel. Folkestone is the main departure point for the Channel Tunnel and it takes only 35 minutes to go to Calais, France. London is only 1 hour and 30 minutes by train, and there is a regular coach service to London and other places of interest around the region. |
AES occupies a charming Victorian house in the very heart of Folkestone.
The school has nine well-furnished classrooms, some of which still have some original Victorian features. There is a computer room with free access to the internet and e-mail and a students' common room, where students can relax during the breaks. |
